Club Information
The Baylands Café Restaurant and Banquet Facility is looking for a Food & Beverage Manager with a positive leadership style, high energy and a strong floor presence.  The restaurant is open daily from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm for breakfast and lunch, and the bar is open daily from 10:00 am to sunset.  The Baylands Café Banquet can serve parties up to 130 and the private patio can set parties up to 80 guests.  From a golf tournament luncheon to a formal wedding reception, the extensive banquet and catering menu offers a variety of items to make any event memorable.

Job Description
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding member dining experiences. They are expected to provide leadership, strategic direction, and ensure that service is focused on exceeding member and guest expectation which align with the Club’s service goals and initiatives.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manager on Duty during the busiest times
  • Ensuring a consistent positive guest experience
  • Planning of weekly and seasonal events
  • Maintaining a clean and organized operation
  • Compliance to Health Department standards
  • Assisting in hiring front of the house
  • Maintaining a positive morale within the department
  • Training front of the house on department standards
  • Assuring consistency in quality of food, service and timing
  • Editing and maintaining proper POS operations
  • Coding and logging of invoices
  • Managing expenditures within budgeted numbers
  • Managing labor within budgeted numbers
  • Overseeing all F&B Inventory control and maintaining cost of sales within budgeted numbers
  • Daily communications with the Executive Chef and General Manager on department status
  • Leading your team in a positive manner
Experience/Education/Certification Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in front of the house management
  • Knowledge in profit and loss statements, forecasting and other administrative duties
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Possess a positive demeanor
  • Able to work weekends and holidays, as needed
