Yocha Dehe Golf Club

Yocha Dehe Golf Club is one of Northern California’s true hidden gems. Set in the gentle hills of Capay Valley – midway between Sacramento and San Francisco – Yocha Dehe is both a secluded and peaceful setting for golf. Surrounded by farmland, a few of the golf holes are bordered by vineyards, and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation that owns the course and nearby casino makes its own wine. But if you are staying at Cache Creek Casino Resort, located one mile from the golf course, you won’t be lacking for action. First opened in 1985 as a small bingo hall, Cache Creek today is a 415,000-square-foot facility that includes a 200-room, four diamond luxury hotel, a health spa, eight restaurants, and a bustling gaming floor. The resort is only 15-20 miles from Napa Valley as the crow flies, but unlike Napa Valley, the Capay Valley is a well-kept secret, with much of the play coming through word of mouth, players telling their friends about the immaculate conditions and high level of service. Between the golf course and the casino resort, guests have nine restaurants from which to choose, but golfers seem to prefer Bahtenta at the golf clubhouse, where outdoor patio seating overlooks the golf course.
