In addition, Lohman will receive the Bill Strausbaugh award recognizing his work for career development for PGA professionals. Both awards will be presented at the Annual SCPGA President’s Dinner, scheduled for December 3rd at Newport Beach Country Club.

“It’s one of the highest honors in my field, so to be named Professional of the Year is definitely humbling,” said Lohman. “I’m thankful for the outstanding team that supports me at Monarch Beach Golf Links, and for my amazing family as well. This is an incredible feeling.”

“Eric is one of the best operators in the business, and we here at OB Sports are so proud of him for earning such a well-deserved honor,” said Mike Conner, Senior Vice President of Operations for OB Sports Golf Management. “It really isn’t a surprise to those of us in the golf industry that know him well. Congratulations to all involved!”

An accomplished player growing up, Lohman was a standout at Palm Springs High School, leading to a collegiate career at the University of Houston for one year, and UCLA for the final three. He won the 1993 Washington State Amateur, and after turning professional qualified for the national PGA Professional Championship in 2014 and 2015.
