Indian Wells, California – The Golf Resort at Indian Wells and OB Sports Golf Management recently announced Allen Jones as General Manager for The Golf Resort at Indian Wells. Allen will direct all aspects of the facility operations including golf operations, food and beverage, agronomy, sales and marketing and instructional programming. He will also work closely with the Callaway Performance Center and the resort partners in the City of Indian Wells to continue increasing the awareness of Indian Wells as a world class golf destination. Allen will also assist with the coordination of the upcoming course renovation which will result in two new premier golf courses, an expanded practice facility and new clubhouse facility.

Prior to his appointment at Indian Wells, Allen served as the General Manager at the OB Sports-managed Legacy Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada. Under his direction The Legacy was awarded with a Tourism Development Award from Nevada Lieutenant Governor Lorraine Hunt and was honored as the “Top 100 Golf Shops in the Country,” by Golf World Business. Allen has over 30 years of experience in the golf industry including serving as the General Manager capacity for the Talega Golf Club in San Clemente, California (2000-2001), La Quinta Resort & Club, La Quinta, Calif (Club Director from 1999-2000), Tournament Players Club at Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada (1991 – 1997), Tournament Players Club at StarPass, Tucson, Ariz., (1989-1991 and Chase Oaks Golf Club in Plano Texas, (1986-1988).

 

Allen has been a Class-A member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of America since 1978 and is currently a member of the Club Managers Association of America. He continues to develop professionally through ongoing training with the PGA Professional Development Program (PDP).
