OB SPORTS UNVEILS NEW LANDSCAPE SERVICES DIVISION
Appoints Luke Beardmore as Vice President of Landscape & Turf Care
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – OB Sports Golf Management, the recognized leader in boutique golf management, recently announced the addition of a new Landscape services division and the appointment of Luke Beardmore as the Vice President of Landscape and Turf Care. For nearly four decades, OB Sports has been maintaining some of the country's most spectacular golf courses and now they are taking that knowledge and skill set from the golf course corridors to the community and other commercial developments. OB Sports Landscape will include comprehensive landscape services including the management and maintenance of HOA common space within master planned communities as well as other commercial developments.
To head up this effort, OB Sports appointed Luke Beardmore as the Vice President of Landscape & Turf Care for this new division of the company. Luke’s background includes extensive experience with landscape and landscape management. Prior to his appointment with OB Sports, Luke built and managed a landscape maintenance company for Blue Star Golf & Resorts that in three short years grew to over $4 million dollars in total revenue annually. The landscape maintenance contracts that Luke has overseen have included many award winning projects including one being honored as the “Top Master Planned Community in the US”. In addition to his Landscape management experience, Luke brings over 15 years of experience in golf course construction, golf course renovations and agronomic experience. Luke’s agronomic resume includes the direction of numerous clubs throughout the United States and Canada. Clubs under his direction have hosted the President’s Cup, PGA Tour events, the Skins Game and Nationwide Tour events.
A native of Ontario, Canada, Luke earned an honors degree in Sports Administration from the University of Windsor. Luke and his wife and two sons live in North Phoenix, Arizona.
“We are extremely pleased to have Luke on our team to spearhead this effort and are excited about this new business venture that diversifies our scope of managed services,” stated Phil Green, president of OB Sports Golf Management. “Providing professional Landscape services to our community partners is a very natural extension of both Luke’s and OB Sports’ area of expertise. Not only can we now manage and maintain the golf courses within communities, but we can provide a turnkey solution to neighboring HOA and communities for their maintenance needs,” added Green.
“I am truly excited to join the OB Sports team, and lead this diversification process. It’s really exciting to be a part of something with so much potential from the ground floor.” stated Beardmore. “The OB Sports Landscape division will specialize in assisting homeowner associations, surrounding communities and commercial developments by providing a landscape presentation that is ‘a cut above’. We’ll utilize the resources and technologies from our golf business to provide a level of sophistication that is often not seen in the landscape business. I’m confident that we will be the perfect partner for communities everywhere.”
