LANGDON FARMS GOLF CLUB HONORED AS ONE OF THE BEST COURSES YOU CAN PLAY IN OREGON BY GOLFWEEK Ranked #7 in State-By-State ranking of Best Courses You Can Play for 2009
AURORA, Ore. – The John Fought/Bob Cupp-design at Langdon Farms Golf Club was honored by Golfweek Magazine as one of the top ten courses you can play in Oregon within their 2009 Best Courses You Can Play, State-By-State ranking. The ranking is determined by Golfweek raters who rank the courses based on a basis of ten criteria. Criteria that includes but is not limited to: routing, quality of shaping (modern), overall land plan, greens and surrounds, variety and memorability of par-3s, par-4s and par 5s, tree and landscape management, conditioning and Golfweek’s unique “Walk in the park” test (defined as “the sense of the place as worthy of spending four hours on it). The ranking included notables such as Bandon Dunes, Crosswater and another OB Sports-managed facility, Tetherow, and was lead by the Pacific Dunes in Bandon. The top ten courses honored in this esteemed ranking included:
