POSITION:  FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER - MONARCH BEACH GOLF LINKS

Position Summary
Oversee the overall operation of the Food and Beverage department.  Responsible for administering all phases of the Food & Beverage Standards and Training packet for the Food & Beverage department.  Responsible for achieving the vision set forth in the Food & Beverage statement; to treat our guests and ourselves with respect, and cultivate warmth, friendliness and pride.  Shall represent the Golf Club in a professional and exemplary manner and promote the success of the Golf Club to guests, staff, members and any other parties.

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Outline and administer the service standards of the Food & Beverage department.
  • Hire, trains and supervises F&B staff.
  • Places food and supply orders as appropriate.
  • Support staff by being present on the dining room floor and overseeing that the guests’ needs and expectations are met.
  • Schedule and monitor labor in an efficient, productive and profitable manner.
  • Receives products and verifies invoice pricing, quantity and that the product meets facility’s specifications.
  • Accurately and punctually complete administrative work, to include weekly scheduling of staff, weekly labor report and bi-weekly payroll submittal.
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity with the company, guests and fellow employees.
  • Holding yourself and your co-workers to the highest standards.
  • Presenting a clean, neat and professional appearance.
  • Clear understanding and adherence to employee safety and workplace injury reporting requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, prices and purveyors.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable health regulations and liquor laws.
  • Treating the equipment entrusted to you like it was your own.
  • Understand and practice inventory and labor controls, time management and human resource management skills
  • Responsible for the creation and updates to all catering and Monarch Café menus,
  • Will communicate to all group clients selling event catering, creating and executing BEO’s for both group golf catering and non-golf catering events.
  • Will be a be an integral member of the Golf Club’s executive leadership team, support other leaders and work well with each department including the Monarch Beach Resort.  
  • Conduct monthly inventories, price checks and food costing when necessary.  
Experience / Education / Certification Requirements:
  • High School education or its equivalent. Prior experience in F&B operations.
  • Must have basic computer skills, experience with POS system.
  • Must have good telephone skills and customer relation/communication skills.
  • Must be able to accurately handle monetary transactions.
  • Local health and alcohol awareness training to be provided.
Essential Elements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. to waist height.
  • Frequent bending turning, kneeling and stooping
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Repetitive motion required including computer entry.
  • Must be able to operate a golf cart in a safe manner
  • Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language.
Other Requirements:
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
