Job Opportunity:      OB Sports and Gamble Sands are seeking a Food & Beverage Professional to join and lead our team at a newly established world class golf course and resort property in beautiful Central Washington. Position Responsibilites: The F&B Leader must understand the nuances of creating and maintaining excellent resort guest service and experiences while leading directing and participating in both the back and front of the house operations. The F&B Leader will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day culinary operations at Gamble Sands, including the training and development of Club staff & team members.  He/she will develop and execute all initiatives surrounding the successful management of the culinary operation, including but not limited to budgeting, planning, organizing, directing and supporting the Chef in the kitchen operation and the Bar & Restaurant Service Manager.   He/She will also be responsible for leading and helping to direct the menu planning, recipe creation, food ordering, food production, storage, safety and sanitation standards, and labor staffing and scheduling.
 
Candidate Experience and Qualifications:  Must have a minimum of 5 years of club (or other high-end hospitality) experience with progressive upward promotion in the culinary operation.  Excellent culinary knowledge and skills, with exceptional creative abilities.  Proven success with guest satisfaction, revenue generation, cost management, staff training & development, menu planning and development, and budget preparation experience    Event execution experience is required.    Outstanding written and verbal communication skills     Must be able to both give and follow clear direction, working as the leader and as a member of the team. Comfortable and professional when interacting with members and resort guests during daily activities and events      Demonstrable leadership skills.  Previous success in developing and training employees, in both kitchen and front of the house operations    Must have impeccable integrity.  Basic computer skills   Accustomed to using technological tools such as Point-of-Sale System, email, MS Excel, and MS Word    Established business/financial acumen as it relates to restaurant operations (revenue generation, menu engineering, cost of goods sold, labor costs, etc.)

Experience / Education / Certification Requirements:
Culinary degree with extensive experience in upscale food establishment or club
Prior experience as executive, sous chef or working chef.
Proven leadership experience.
Obtain and maintain current foodservice certification.
Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
Able to delegate responsibilities.
Able to develop, lead, train and manage a team.
Computer literate with accurate typing skills.
Able to perform arithmetic computations for budgeting and cost analysis.
Understanding of local, state and federal health and sanitation laws.
Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment
Strong organizational, leadership and problem solving skills
 
Physical Requirements:
Able to frequently lift and carry food, beverage and other items greater than 35 pounds and able to transport up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
Frequent bending turning, kneeling and stooping
Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
Repetitive motion required including computer entry.
Must be able to operate a golf cart in a safe manner
Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
Must be able to fluently speak and write the English language.  Proficient in the Spanish language is plus.
