POSITION: DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA

POSITION:  DIRECTOR OF DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA - OB SPORTS CORPORATE

Reports To:                  Vice President of Marketing
 
Position Purpose:           This position is an integral resource for helping advance our company’s vision, strategies, goals, and objectives to accelerate our capabilities in digital and social marketing and to dramatically enhance customer engagement for our golf courses and our brand. The role will significantly contribute to transforming our company into a digitally and socially innovative organization while implementing these strategies across many various platforms.
 
General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand the full scope of our business and objectives to develop, present and pull through digital solutions for golf course management related strategies.
  • Create digital strategies that establish more relevant connections between golfers, our golf courses and our brand.
  • Apply broad expertise from a host of digital channels (online, mobile, social, search, email, CRM, experiential, etc) to create tactical solutions that increase engagement across multiple types of peer-to-peer audiences.
  • Play a critical advisory role on dedicated client interactions, serving as the go-to subject matter expert on digital channels and strategies.
  • Continually monitor new technological and creative developments across the digital landscape and translate to actionable strategies, tactics and solutions the company can utilize to ensure competitiveness in the golf course management space.
  • Heavily embrace and effectively communicate ROI/Measurements.
  • Establish benchmarks, champion best practices and continually inform account teams on successful/proven digital examples to constantly advocate for the discipline.
Experience / Education / Certification Requirements:
  • College degree.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with digital and social media platforms related to a business environment, golf or hotel specific experience a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful revenue generating digital and social media strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strong presentation skills, self-motivated, takes initiative while being a team player, strong organizational skills, efficient in work, strong leadership abilities and able to communicate effectively.
  • Proficiency in any of the following is a plus:  Online, Mobile, Search, Social, Email and CRM
