Reports To:                  Corporate Executive Team
 
 
Position Purpose:        The Corporate Director of Food and Beverage provides support and direction to the facility management teams by driving all company F&B initiatives as well as future development projects and/or management partnerships.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to areas of capital expansion, business planning, branding, menu/clubhouse design, service standards training, operational audits and the creative and conceptual development of new F&B experiences.
 
General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Must be innovative in identifying market strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Responsible for site visits and troubleshooting facility specific operational needs.
  • Must be hands on willing to work as fill in manager from time to time as needed. As such, ability to travel for extended periods is a must.
  • Responsible for menu development and design.
  • Responsible for the marketing, sales and promotional activities of the food and beverage initiatives within the company where necessary.
  • Help recruit, assess and select new F&B Managers for the various operations under management.
  • Supports the development and implementation of short/long term strategies for the F&B operations within the company.
  • Monitors the performance of the F&B operations to determine whether these strategies and plans require adjustment to positively impact desired results.
  • Evaluates the progress toward the attainment of the F&B objectives at all locations.
  • Responsible for providing support on the development of the F&B capital budgets required for all current operations (as well as future management partnerships) within the company.
  • Conduct regular audits of the various F&B operations and provide documented report, work directly with the GM/Director of Golf on recommendations for improvement.
  • Attend culinary exhibitions and educational seminars to stay abreast of the development in the Food & Beverage industry.
  • Ensure that a consistent set of standards are established for service delivery and food quality and that these standards are meeting or exceeding the expectations of our guests at all of our operations.
  • Able to provide strategic intelligence to our partners/clients regarding all F&B initiatives including but not limited to vision, branding, menu/restaurant and clubhouse design.
  • Establish/maximize corporate alliances/partnerships within the F&B industry allowing the company to provide leading edge products and services to its clients and partners.
  • Validate the current F&B policies, procedures, processes and measures and continually enhance/revise as necessary.
Experience / Education / Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; six to ten years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Prior golf club, country club and/or resort and hospitality experience a plus.
  • Local health and alcohol awareness certification. 
  • Culinary degree and or extensive experience in kitchen/ culinary operations; prior experience as executive/ sous chef preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Able to delegate responsibilities.
  • Able to develop, lead, train and manage a team.
  • Computer literate with accurate typing skills.
  • Able to perform arithmetic computations for budgeting and cost analysis.
    • Ability to direct and operate restaurants and banquet facilities.
    • Understanding of local, state and federal health and sanitation laws.
    • Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment
  • Strong organizational, leadership and problem solving skills.
